YunJae Lynda Lim the vibrant hope for the young generation.
🐈 You'll never guess Lynda's love for cats. In fact, she has two of them back in Japan where she was raised from age two 😊 Although she was born in Seoul, South Korea, a city best known for delicious spicy food, aesthetic fashion, K-pop, and K-dramas, she moved in Germany in 2019 to study Biochemistry and Cell Biology at the Jacobs University of Bremen.
😎 Lynda describes herself as a jack of all trades: "I am interested in a variety of things like design, translations & programming languages. Sometimes I have fun playing with python: print(''Hello World You Are Wonderful!'')".
She dreams of becoming a volunteer in a country of her choice and retiring at a farm with lots of cows.
📖 Her favorite book is Demian by Hermann Hesse and she gets inspired by educational content found on social platforms like Pinterest and Instagram.
Recently Lynda had a career shift from SEO marketing intern to recruitment consultant moved by the beats and punchy music of KALUSH (a Ukrainian rap band): "At Eurovision 2022 their performance was nicely put together and the experience delivered to the audience was just as I was expected it to be. Really cool!"
YunJae Lynda Lim is the vibrant hope for the young generation expressed by freedom, empathy, imagination, knowledge, and mission.
Q: Lynda why did you get involved in our project?
A: “I remember the struggle when I first started learning chemistry. In education, especially in difficult subjects such as chemistry, I believe that having a teacher who can thoroughly instruct the class materials and allow students to interact with them in an entertaining manner is very important. Mendeleev certainly has both aspects!“
Q: What is your opinion about the educational systems in Germany and Japan?
A: “In both Germany and Japan (the countries where I lived for more than a year), I witnessed that there is a shortage of English education in public schools. I personally believe that I was privileged to have an English education and I hope that English education will become more available for public schools since in the job market, being multilingual is definitely a big advantage.“
Q: What do you like about our project?
“I like how Mendeleev reflects the ‘remote’ mode of studying, delivers core knowledge in concise manner, and elaborates on the historical aspect of chemistry by capturing three important aspects when it comes to learning and app development.“
